Q & A’s
How often should I come in for tattoo touch-up?
5-6 week after your initial tattoo appointment is when you’d be able to come in for a touch up. This amount of time gives the skin a chance to fully heal so we can see the full results. Any areas that didn’t hold will be touched up and adjustments can be made.
How do I know if my tattoo is infected?
If you have any of the following, please visit your nearest healthcare provider.
fever.
hot and cold flashes.
abnormal shivering
swelling of the tattooed area
pus coming out of the area
red lesions around the area
red streaking from the area
areas of hard, raised tissue
How long should I keep the protective layer on the tattoo?
You can leave the tegraderm clear protective layer on for 3-5 days after your appointment. The longer you leave it on, the better.
Why is a deposit required before booking an appointment?
A deposit is required to hold your appointment spot. The deposit goes towards the time I spend creating/customizing your tattoo and will go towards your appointment at check-out.
All deposits are non-refundable.
What area of the body hurts the least when getting a tattoo?
Areas that likely cause the least amount of pain when tattooed tend to be padded with some fat, have tight skin, have few nerve endings, and aren’t close to bones. Pain in these areas will be low to moderate.
What should I do after I take the tegraderm (protective layer) off?
First, wash your hands. Then, gently wash the tattoo with the soap provided (Ink Soap) or any mild, anti-bacterial, non scented soap. Pat the area dry with a clean towel and apply some of the aftercare cream provided. (Bowler Esthetic Cream) about 5-7 times a day. You don’t want your tattoo to dry out.
