How do I prepare for my lash appointment?

Will they damage my lashes?

If done properly, there will be no damage to your natural lash. If you pick and pull them out before they shed on their own, there will be damage. If a stylist places lashes that are too long or too thick for your natural lash, this can also cause damage,

How long will it take to apply eyelash extensions and how is it done?

Lash extensions are applied while you are lying down with your eyes closed on a comfortable couch bed. This usually takes about 1- 1.5 hours for a full set of lashes, but also depends on the set of lashes you decide to get. After prepping your lashes, your bottom lashes are protected with a gel eye pad, lash extensions are then applied 1-to-1 with medical grade adhesive. It is a really relaxing, non-invasive treatment and most of our clients take the time to catch up on their beauty sleep.

What are Lash Lift Pre-Treatment Procedures ?

  • Eyelash Extensions need to be removed at least three days to 1 week before the appointment.

  • For best results do not use waterproof mascara or curl your lashes five days before your treatment.

  • No eye makeup the day of your appointment. Such as mascara, eye shadow, eyeliner, etc.

  • Remove any eye makeup with oil-free makeup remover the day prior.
    It’s recommended to wash your hair before your appointment because you may not for 24 hours afterward.

On average, how many lashes will I lose in a day?

On average, 1 to 5 lashes are lost each day. New lashes grow frequently and replace lost lashes. Your lashes will never be damaged by extensions. The lifespan of a single lash ranges between 60 to 200 days with the majority of them being shed in about 140.

How far in advance should I book my appointment before my wedding, or traveling?

We recommend schedule an appointment 2-4 days before your special day. While after the lashes done, lashes area have to avoid water for 24 hours, keep away from eye make-up for 48 hours.

Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions?

Yes, you can! Just wait 24 hours.
I do ask you to minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 24 hours of wear new eyelash extensions. After then, you can jump to water and swim like a dolphin:)
* Notice: hot steam may cause lash extensions falling out faster than usual.

What are Lash Lift Post-Treatment Procedures ?

  • No water and mascara on the lashes for 24 hours after the treatment

  • No steam, no heavy exercising that would cause excessive sweating, no hair washing (at home) for 24 hours after, etc.

  • No lash Serums, lash extensions, eye creams for 48 hours.

  • Use oil-free make-up remover wipes to wash your face after the treatment.

How can I make sure my lash extensions last?

Use oil-free make-up and oil free cleansers around eyes. Avoid eye serums and lotions. Avoid rubbing your eyes and pulling at the lashes. If possible, sleep on your back to avoid your lashes rubbing on a pillow. Wash lashes with lash shampoo to avoid any oil build up.

How long will my eyelash extensions last?

Your new lashes will last between 2 to 4 weeks depending on your skincare routine and your own natural lash life cycle. To maintain the full look of your lashes, it will require you to maintain refills every 2-3 weeks.

What if I have sensitive eyes?

Please let me know before coming to appointment. We can do a quick allergy test for you. We usually applying 5 lashes each eye and wait for 24-48 hours to find out is any allergy is present. The glue I use is without carbon black or butyl acrylate, it has incredibly mild fumes and is entirely free of black pigment—a major allergen often found in quick-dry lash glues. It is a clear lash glue crafted from hypoallergenic, medical-grade ingredients, making it perfect for classic, hybrid, volume, and mega volume applications. It's especially ideal for clients with sensitivities and for use with colored lashes. Plus, it's latex and formaldehyde-free!
